Gladys Mae Lawrence, 87, of Union Beach, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 3 at her home. She was born Gladys Mae Worden on May 29, 1928 in Franklin. In 1965, she settled in Union Beach with her husband, James. Before retiring Gladys worked as an assembler for Crown Engineering in Farmingdale.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Troy Lawrence; and her parents, George and Dorothy (Ramage) Worden. Gladys is survived by her loving children, Jimmy, Jackie, Sharen, Troy, Marc and Steven; and her dear sister, Ramona Houghtaling. She also leaves behind her 23 cherished grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 8 from 5 to 9 p.m., with a service to be held during the visitation, at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Route 35 Nor th, Hazlet.
