Living In Lincroft

Although Lincroft or “The ‘Croft,” as some call it, is part of Middletown Township, this village of some 6,000 residents has its own post office and zip code. Lincroft offers residents and visitors alike a bevy of services, dining choices, as well as fashion, culture and activities. Here are a few of the locales that make up Lincroft:
Sean and Sally Cody found Lincroft the perfect place to raise a family and open the  Lincroft Village Jewelers, now in its sixth year.
Both members of this husband and wife team grew up in Lincroft and Sean has worked in the jewelry business for more than 20 years. The shop offers the finest quality diamonds, gems and stones, as well as laser jewelry repair–the latest technology in this field. In addition, talented staff with years of experience in jewelry and custom design can design a piece of jewelry from an idea or a picture.
The historic  Lincroft Inn  can trace its roots and a portion of the present building to 300 years ago. During the 1800s the Inn was known as the Leedsville Hotel and served as a popular stopover for the Lakewood-New York stagecoach run, and during Prohibition “spirits” were secretly made in the cellar. The Daverio family has owned and operated the restaurant since 1927.
Over the years, the Inn has gone through several renovations and expansions, all the while serving award winning wines and quality Northern Italian/Continental cuisine. A mix of fine-dining experience with the casual rustic bar makes it a popular Lincroft stop.
David Bertone, PT, DPT, OCS, believes that choosing the right physical therapist is important for a person’s recovery.  DB Orthopedic Physical Therapy  offers 23 years of experience in the area of Orthopedic Rehabilitation. Dr. Bertone, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, and a Diplomat of the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, offers evidence-based cost-effective rehabilitation.
Ever since fashion-conscious friends Stacey Krall and Jeannine Vaccaro, both mothers of young children, formed  Staje  in 2008 they’ve been inspiring women to feel beautiful every day. The Lincroft boutique is just part of the women’s business; they purchase clothing, jewelry and accessories directly from designer showrooms in New York City and throughout the country. Between the shop and their web boutique, they represent over 40 designer labels.
College students and community members alike take advantage of  Brookdale Community College’s main campus. The accredited public community college offers degrees in more than 60 programs, plus non-credit classes and certificate programs. You don’t have to be a matriculated college student to enjoy the intellectual stimulation of Brookdale as the college offers courses, programs, lectures and even gym memberships to the community.

The Monmouth Museum, one of the largest museums in New Jersey, is located on the Brookdale campus and offers a variety of changing exhibitions and educational programs on art, science, nature and cultural history for visitors of all ages. Among the popular attractions are the New Jersey Emerging Artists Series, the DVM WonderWing (for children 6 years old and under) and the Becker Children’s Wing, a hands-on learning experience for children 7 to 12.
If you’re thinking about living in Lincroft, Weichert Realtors, one of the nation’s leading providers of New Jersey real estate for sale and home ownership services, can help you find the perfect home.
To keep abreast of issues affecting Lincroft, the  Lincroft Village Green Association is a civic group of community volunteers who are committed to quality of life issues in Lincroft including traffic calming and historic preservation and beautification.
