RED BANK – It was a busy, fun afternoon on Dec. 17 as the newly renovated Lunch Break held its annual holiday senior luncheon.
Tables were full with what Lunch Break’s executive director Gwendolyn Love estimated as 90 participants for the event.
Lunch Break has been conducting the holiday senior luncheon for about five years, working in cooperation with Home Instead, Love said.
Home Instead is a national organization that provides in-home care and companionship for seniors, with local offices in Eatontown.
Lunch Break, a soup kitchen, food pantry and social services facilitator operating for more than 30 years, has expanded its Drs. James Parker Boulevard facility to accommodate and expand the programs and services it provides.
The kitchen and dining area renovations were completed earlier this month, with the work on the administrative offices expecte to be completed late this month.
