Dolores S. MacConnachie, 89, of Monmouth Beach, died on Monday, May 9 at Monmouth Medical Center. Dolores was born in Rahway and moved to Rumson. After raising her seven children in North Caldwell, she went to work at TECO Electric Company in Caldwell and then to Hobart Corporation in Fairfield. She retired after 15 years and moved to Monmouth Beach to spend summer days on the beach with her family.

Dolores was predeceased by her parents, James and Catherine Shea; her sister, Margaret Connor; and her two brothers, Jim and Jack Shea.

She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Anderson of Locust; a son, Ian and his wife Linda of Monroe, North Carolina; her daughters, Dolores of Rumson; Pegeen Patton of Little Silver; Linda Ward and her husband Tim of Little Silver; Susan Cavanaugh and her husband Dave of Highland Lakes, Laurie Bassett of Clermont, Florida, and Kerry Obado and her husband Fred of Spotswood; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will take place on Friday, July 1 at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank from 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Buriel will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church, 94 Broad St., Red Bank at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 2.
