Mahoney, Lynda Radulich, Age: 64, Monmouth Beach

Lynda Radulich Mahoney, 64, of Monmouth Beach, died on Sunday, May 8 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Lynda was born in Jersey City and lived in Monmouth Beach for the past 23 years. She was a 1969 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Jersey City and went on to graduate from Jersey City State College with her bachelor’s in speech and English in 1974 and master’s in counseling in 1991. She was a high school English teacher for 20 years, teaching at St. Michael’s High School in Jersey City for three years and Ferris High School in Jersey City for 17 years. During this time, she received the “Teacher of the Year” award two times, one at each school. Later, she was the head of guidance at Dickinson High School in Jersey City for three years and most recently a guidance counselor for the Monmouth County Career Center for 14 years.

Lynda was an active member of the community, for which she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Monmouth Beach, a Parent Liaison for the MBBP Swim Team for 12 years, and a parishioner of Church of the Precious Blood in Monmouth Beach.

She was predeceased by her parents, Blasul and Concettina Radulich. Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Harold Mahoney; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Brian and Britney Mahoney, Scott and Colleen Mahoney, and David Mahoney; her daughter, Alison Mahoney; her brother and sister-in-law, David and Donna Radulich; two grandchildren, Jack and Patrick; and her large, extended loving family of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, May 13 from 9 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at the Roman Catholic Church of the Precious Blood, 72 Riverdale Ave. in Monmouth Beach.
