John “Jack” Malley, 80 of Oceanport, died peacefully on Thursday, November 9 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. Born in Long Branch, he grew up in Monmouth Beach before coming to Oceanport 53 years ago.
John was an electrician with IBEW Local 400 in Wall for 20 years before retiring in 1980. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy and Marines and was a parishioner and altar server at the Church of the Precious Blood in Monmouth Beach.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Teresa Malley; two nephews, Thomas Malley and John M. Malley and his wife Eileen; a great-niece; and five great nephews, Christine, Thomas P., Patrick, Johnny 5, Michael and Matthew.
