RED BANK – Riverview Medical Center is again inviting people to come with their kids to rock Riverview from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13.
Moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, and uncles are encouraged to bring the kids to this fun health fair and learn more about the extensive capabilities of the Pediatric Care Center at Riverview Medical Center, affiliated with K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital and the Meridian Pediatric Network.
The event will feature fun and educational, health-conscious activities that even adults will enjoy. Attendees can try their hand at surgery (gummy bear surgery that is), learn the importance of handwashing with funky glow-in-the-dark germs, meet members of Meridian Pediatric Network’s Pawsitive Action Team, and much more.
Also new for this year will be a live performance by Miss Melissa’s Aardvarks. Melissa Chill is a singer-songwriter who has been teaching children’s music for almost 15 years in Monmouth County. Her Music for Aardvarks and Other Mammals has been on Jack’s Big Music Show on Nickelodeon Noggin Network.
For more information and some videos go to www.missmelissasaardvarks.com.
In addition, Hopscotch from the Pawsitive Action Team at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center will even make a special appearance. The event will bring out the inner rock star in your child and be a unique opportunity to make healthy habits a fun topic.
Riverview Kids Rock is just one of the exciting activities planned to celebrate the Meridian Pediatric Network in 2013.
Riverview Kids Rock is free but registration is requested and may be completed by calling 1-800-DOCTORS.
