The Deep Cut Bonsai Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. March 20, at the King of Kings Lutheran Church, 250 Harmony Road.
Bonsai topics will be discussed and participants may bring their bonsai tree(s) to work on during the meeting. Bonsai wire will be provided.
Light refreshments will be available.

Middletown Township Public Library, in conjunction with the Monmouth Conservatory of Music, will present a classical concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at the library, located at 55 New Monmouth Road.
Performing will be Danile Milkus on violin and pianist Arseny Tarasevich-Nikolaev. They will play pieces by Prokofiev, Debussy and Ravel.
Milkus performs regularly with recital and orchestral concerts in Russia, Canada and the United States. Tarasevich-Nikolaev tours in Europe, Asia and North America.
The free concert will take place in the library’s community room. No registration is required but space is limited so come early.
Funding for the program comes from the support of the MTPL Foundation, Inc.

Area residents are invited to end their day on a sweet note by joining the Monmouth County Park System for Twilight Treats at the Huber Woods Environmental Center, Brown’s Dock Road.
The family friendly program combines dessert with a simple nature activity and a walk through the park. Each session, held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m, has a theme.
The schedule is:

  • Brownies & Night Sounds on Thursday, March 20
  • Cupcakes & April Fool’s Fun on Tuesday, April 1
  • Cookies & Twilight Animals on Wednesday, May 7
  • Chocolate Layer Cake & Wildflowers on Thursday, May 22

The cost is $7 per person per session. Preregistration is required.
