LONG BRANCH – Celebrated annually from National Nurses Day on May 6 through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, National Nurses Week celebrates America’s more than 3 million nurses and the work they do to save lives and to improve the health of millions of individuals.
This year, Monmouth Medical Center and the Monmouth Medical Center Foundation are inviting alumni of the hospital’s former School of Nursing to celebrate National Nurses Week and the 125th anniversary of Monmouth Medical Center. The celebration will kick off at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the hospital, 300 Second Ave. The afternoon of celebration will include a meet-and-greet, a tour of the hospital and an awards ceremony and reception.
