Monmouth Medical Center Trustee Named Association Trustee of the Year

LONG BRANCH – Mon­mouth Medical Center trustee Judi Dawkins was recently named New Jersey Hospital and Healthcare System Trustee of the Year at the 94th annual meeting of the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA), the statewide advocate for its 107-member hospitals, 300-plus post-acute members and the patients they serve.

Dawkins, a Rumson resident, was recognized for her strong and influential leadership as a board trustee for both Monmouth Medical Center and the Monmouth Medical Center Founda­tion. A strong advocate for the communities Monmouth serves, Dawkins was instrumental in raising funds to support the expansion of maternity, cancer and pediatric emergency services.
“Judi Dawkins has served an integral role with both the Monmouth Medical Center Board of Trustees and the Foundation’s Board,” said Frank J. Vozos, M.D., president and chief executive officer, Monmouth Medical Center. “Her commitment goes well beyond financial assistance. She works tirelessly to raise Monmouth Medical Center’s profile within the community as well as within the ranks of the local, state and federal government. We are truly lucky to have her as an ambassador for our hospital.”
“Judi Dawkins brings boundless energy, dedication and innovation to the foundation’s board of trustees. She consistently puts the best interests of the hospital first and has been a driving force behind some of the foundation’s most successful events,” said Tara F. Kelly, vice president, Monmouth Medical Center Foundation. “During Judi’s tenure as chairman of the board, the foundation raised more than $15.2 million and turned over $8.8 million in funds to support the ambitious expansion of maternity, cancer and pediatric emergency services and the Graduate Medical Education Endowment.”­
