LINCROFT- The Monmouth County Park System is hosting its first ever WinterFest from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Thompson Park on Newman Springs Road.
From a “Frozen”-themed scavenger hunt to ice sculptors, the event will celebrate winter and all the outdoor fun it brings.
Attendees will be able to get into the spirit of the day by dressing up as their favorite winter character. Family-fun activities for the day will include crafts, wagon rides and more.
There also will be cross-country ski and snowshoe clinics. Visitors can enjoy live music, decorative lighting and outdoor cooking demonstrations.
An outdoor fireplace and hot drinks will be available.
Admission and parking are free.
