Mother Teresa Regional School To Celebrate 20 Years of Memories

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS – Mother Teresa Regional School will hold a celebration of 10 years of memories from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 5.  The picnic is open to all alumni, faculty, family and friends of the regional school, which opened in September of 2006.
According to Melissa Whelan, former principal “The event is designed to bring all members of the community together for one last goodbye. We have a fantastic community that has been there for one another over the last 10 years. There is much to celebrate as a community and the picnic will give us the opportunity to do that.”
Students can enjoy activities such as a bounce house and water slide. Alumni will have the opportunity to participate in house competitions, similar to the ones they enjoyed in middle school days when they competed in different houses for a trophy each year. “I loved house competitions and it’s been a long time coming for everyone to be back together as a community. I cannot wait to reunite with the MTRS family,” said Sydney Rosa, 2012 graduate.
This Parent Teacher Association’s event gives the school an opportunity to celebrate together in a fun, family filled atmosphere.  The event is free, but donations are accepted to help defray the cost.  The net proceeds will go to a scholarship for an 8th grade graduate. Alumni are encouraged to follow the school’s Instagram, MTRSHAWKS, for a daily dose of throwback photos.
