MIDDLETOWN – The township’s summer concert series returns this year with a new sponsor and an all-new lineup of performers.
The Middletown Township Education Association (MTEA) has pledged $10,000 to sponsor the annual concert series. “We would like to thank the Middletown Township Education Association for their generosity in helping to bring this summer favorite to the community,” Mayor Anthony P. Fiore said.
The series, hosted by the Middletown Recreation Department and the Middletown Cultural and Arts Council, consists of four outdoor shows at Normandy Park. Concerts will be held from 7-9 p.m. every other Thursday, beginning July 12 with Jennifer Mylod. The musical journey continues with The Del Angels on July 26; Funktion 11 on Aug. 9 and RB Express on Aug. 23.
Normandy Park is located at 600 Normandy Road.
In the event of inclement weather, concerts are moved to Middletown South High School. Additional information is available by calling the recreation department at 732-615-2260 or the Middletown Arts Center at 732-706-4100.
