SHREWSBURY – Now readers can take the Monmouth County Library wherever they roam with the library’s free app. The MonCo Library app is now available for download.
With the new app, library cardholders can renew a book from their smartphone or tablet. They can search for titles, use research databases and check on upcoming programs with just a screen touch.
Members can log on to www.monmouth.boopsie.com and download the MonCo Library app to the device of choice. The app is free and available for mobile devices running Apple IOS, Android, Windows phone and Amazon Kindle with tablet.
The app will allow Nonmouth County Library cardholders to:
- Search for books, DVDs, audiobooks and eBooks.
- Find items using the easy mobile search, by entering the first few characters of the title or author, for example ma twa will help find books by Mark Twain.
- Check their account, place items on hold, renew borrowed titles.
- Check on upcoming programs and movies.
- Find the location and hours of branches.
- Access the research databases.
- Scan the ISBN barcode of any book to see if it is in the catalog.
