New Volunteers Open House to be Held at Phoenix Productions

RED BANK – Phoenix Productions will host its annual open house for new volunteers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Phoenix Rehearsal Center, 111 Monmouth St.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for people new to Phoenix to meet with producers, directors, set designers, costume designers, performers and many others who have enjoyed being part of the Phoenix family,” said Lindsay Wood, president and trustee of Phoenix Productions.
Phoenix has many different departments that help mount productions each season. Many hands and minds are needed to create the shows Phoenix puts together. No matter what the skill level, experience or ability may be, Phoenix welcomes all.
This season’s schedule includes “Shrek The Musical,” coming April; “Grease,” coming July; “The Sound Of Music,” coming September; and rounding out the season, “ Spamalot,” coming November. All shows are performed at The Count Basie Theatre.
“Whether it is an interest to volunteer, learn more about the performing arts, or just general interest in knowing what Phoenix is all about, please stop on by,” Lindsay said.
Phoenix is a nonprofit community theater organization that has produced more than 100 revivals of hit Broadway musicals over the past two decades.
