THE NINTH ANNUAL Shore Chef Crab Cake Cook-Off was held last weekend at Monmouth Park in Oceanport. Some 15 vendors competed for the best crab cake award and the coveted People’s Choice Award in the Crab Cake Cook-Off as visitors tasted crab cakes, fried catfish, lobster rolls and more. Bahr’s Landing, Highlands, won “Best Crab Cake.” The Boondocks, Red Bank, won “Best of the Rest” for their cold lobster roll.
