NJ Symphony Holds April Food Drive at Concerts

299

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO) and The Community FoodBank of New Jersey are partnering to fight hunger. At concerts throughout the month of April, the NJSO and its volunteers will collect non-perishable food items to donate to The Community FoodBank, which assists more than 900,000 people in 18 of New Jersey’s 21 counties.
A food drive will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Count Basie Theatre, Monmouth Street, Red Bank.
The NJSO encourages donations of the following nonperishable items including dry soup, rice, powdered/canned milk, macaroni and cheese, cereal, peanut butter (no glass jars), beans, canned fruit and vegetables, tuna, canned food, canned stew, canned soup, pasta and juice boxes.
Concertgoers can donate items in the concert-hall lobbies.
