RED BANK – The timid and the adventurous alike attended this year’s Paddle the Navesink on Saturday, Sept. 12. The free event, located at Maple Cove offered Two River area resident a chance to enjoy the Navesink River.
Maple Cove, at the base of Maple Avenue, is one of the few places in the area that provides free access to the river. Participants were able to try out kayaks, stand up paddleboards, rowing shells and sailboats.

The Navesink Maritime Heritage Association, Monmouth County Park System, Navesink Rowing Club, American Littoral Society and Clean Ocean Action were among the groups on hand to provide information about their programs and activities.
