Mildred “Aunt Millie” Palfi, 95, a lifelong resident of
Middletown, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 9 at
Riverview Medical Center, the same facility where she
worked for 22 years in the house keeping department, finally retiring 1993.
Aunt Millie loved spending time with her family. She was
also involved in all the actvities offered at Chapin Hill Health Care Center.
Whether is was playing a game of bingo, Wii bowling or horse racing she was always one to participate and whenever
the bus left for a trip, shopping, baseball game or a show, Milliewas the first to sign up.
She enjoyed staying active and even danced to her polkas
with her walker in tow. Her smile and her uplifting spirit will be greatly missed.
Millie was predeceased by her brother and sister, Helen and
Frank Poslusny; and her niece, Anne Walling.
She is survived by her loving and devoted great-niece,
Cheryl Seeley and her husband Bill. She is also survived by her
nephew-in-law, John Walling Sr.; great-nephew, John Walling Jr.;
and five great-great-nieces and nephews, Megan and Patrick
Seeley and McKenzie, Tyler and Brayden Walling.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 14 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
