Ralph A. Pelo, 85, of Woodbridge, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, Januar y 4 at JFK Hartwyck Rehabilitation Center in Edison. Ralph was born on March 23, 1930 in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he grew up. In 1980, he relocated to Florida and in 1989 he moved to Staten Island, N.Y. In 1990, he ultimately settled in Woodbridge. Before retiring, he
worked as chief superintendent for the New York City Housing Authority. Ralph was also a proud United States Navy veteran, where he served during the Korean War.

He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Assunta (Riccio) Pelo; and his siblings, Louise Ramirez, Fannie Ramirez, Florence Paredese and John Pelo. Ralph is survived by his loving son, John R. Pelo and his wife Annette of Hazlet; his dear sisters, Dora Accurso and Violet Pattay; along with many cherished nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 7 and Friday, January 8 at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hazlet. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Friday, January 8 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Woodbridge. Interment took place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y.
