Robert (Bob) Richardson Pereless, age 71 of Middletown, passed away peacefully at Monmouth Medical Center Aug. 8. Born in Glen Ridge to Arthur and Jean Pereless, Bob lived in Middletown for over 50 years. Bob graduated from Middletown High School and studied business management at Monmouth College. Bob had a 25 year career as Director of Purchasing and Facilities with The Hertz Corporation and Express Scripts, Inc. of New Jersey.

Bob was an avid sports enthusiast always enjoying his trips with his sons and grandsons to see his Yankees and Giants play. He loved coaching his sons’ baseball and soccer teams while they were growing up. Bob’s most recent adventures were spending quality time with his wife Nancy and four adoring grandchildren, making every outing a “Kodak Moment.” All of those who knew Bob described him as a bright light who created a positive, uplifting environment with his magnetic smile.

Surviving is his loving wife of 43 years Nancy, his devoted sons, Robert Jr. and his wife Tara, and Michael and his wife Emily. Bob leaves behind his four beloved grandsons, four nieces and nephews, one brother and his best feline friend Charlotte.

A Memorial Service and funeral weres held Aug. 15 at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
