A red oak was planted in honor of New Jersey’s 350th anniversary at an open house at Parker Homestead, Little Silver, on May 18. Planting the tree, top, from left, are Bob Sickles, Councilman Dan O’Hern and Robert Sickles Sr.
Girl Scouts attending were, Matilda Shap, Maxine Lloyd and Colleen McVeety.
Committee members and preservationists at the event were Greg Strand, Keith Wells, Bob Sickles, Jen Purdee, Rosemary Brewer and Liz Hanson.
