HOLMDEL – Eight Bayshore Community Hospital team members either pursing baccalaureate distinction in nursing or interested in pursuing a career in the nursing field were recently awarded the 2013 Harry M. Poppick, M.D., Memorial Scholarships. This year marks the 23rd year the Poppick family has generously supported nursing at Bayshore Community Hospital. The scholarships are named for former Keyport physician Dr. Poppick, a founding member of the Bayshore Community Hospital medical staff, and a much respected and beloved member of the hospital family. After his passing in 1990, the Poppick family established a nursing scholarship in his honor that has been awarded annually.
This year’s Harry M. Poppick Scholarship recipients are: Nathan Barkley; nurse manager of OR Solange Espinal; Lisa Ross; Linda Wrigley, RN; nurse manager Marissa Falzarano; Melanie Miglionica, RN; Linda Burgos, RN; assistant nurse manager Rachel Clayton, RN.
