SEA BRIGHT – PGA golf pro Rickie Fowler was on hand Tuesday morning to offer a hand in helping rebuild a home, demonstrate exactly why he’s on the PGA tour and sign some autographs.
Fowler joined volunteers from the St. Bernard Project and Farmers Insurance, who have been on site in the borough assisting in post-Sandy recovery efforts, as they worked on a Church Street home today.
Following the golf demonstration on the beach, Fowler took time to meet with fans and autograph hats that were given to waiting youngsters.
Fowler is scheduled to compete later this week in the Barclays Tournament at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus.
He is 13th in the Official World Golf Rankings following top five finishes in this year’s major championships.
