John P. Raimond, 84, of Holmdel, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. He was born on January 21, 1931 in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he lived for most of his life. In 1997, John moved to Holmdel. Before retiring in 1995, he worked as a manager/clerk for Western Union in Manhattan. John was also a CWA Rep and was a volunteer at both Arnold Walter Nursing Home and St. Joseph’s Church in Keyport.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Anna (Pagano) Raimond; his beloved wife, Dolores (Marzick) Raimond; and his daughter, Linda Carrus. John is survived by his loving children, Elizabeth Crapanzano and her husband Peter of Hazlet, Donna Falci and her husband Vincent of Middletown, John Raimond of Holmdel and Maria Hinners and her husband R.J. of Hazlet; his eight cherished grandchildren; and 13 adored great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8 and Wednesday, September 9 at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hazlet. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Wednesday, September 9 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Entombment followed at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Keyport.
