RBR Graduates 299 Seniors

RED BANK REGIONAL High School (RBR) graduated 299 seniors on Friday, June 15 at the high school stadium. Principal Risa Clay introduced her graduates and proclaimed that they had amassed over $7.1 million in scholarship money. Ninety two percent of the class will be going to college; others plan to attend career education programs, enter the workforce or serve in the U.S. military. Salutatorian Elly McCarthy from Shrewsbury will be attending the University of Chicago next year where she hopes to continue her exploration of different fields of study with a strong interest in comparative human development and business fields including statistics and computer science. Valedictorian Nicole Povey, also of Shrewsbury, will be attending the College of Letters and Sciences in USCLA next year. Following the confirmation from RBR Interim Superintendent Tom Pagano that these students met all of the requirements established by Red Bank Regional High School and the State of New Jersey they were so issued their diplomas. Class President Houston Migdon then led them to turn the graduation cap tassels over and the hats went flying.
