Red Bank Police Make Arrests in Two Assaults and Robberies

RED BANK — Borough police arrested four men and a woman last week and charged them with a variety of offenses arising from two robberies and assaults.
Police alleged the man involved are  members of a street gang.
Arrested for incidents on July 6 and July 12 were: Lamar Hicks, 27, Long Branch; Jason Hall, 20, Red Bank; Kadean Lane, 20, Tinton Falls; and Dashaun Clayton, 21, Red Bank.
They were each charged with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and one count of robbery, according to Capt. Darren McConnell, a police spokesman.
Police believe the four are members of the Bloods street gang, McConnell said.
Police also arrested Luchretia Jackson, 26, Red Bank, and charged her with one count of robbery for her alleged involvement in July 12 incidents.
Police said that during the early hours of July 6 four men, beat, stabbed and robbed a 21-year-old borough man as he walked on River Street.
The victim was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, for treatment.
Early on July 12, four men, joined by Jackson, approached a 36-year-old Belmar man who was walking to his vehicle parked on South Street. Police said the five allegedly  assaulted the victim, taking money and jewelry.
Sometime after the victim fled the scene, the four men allegedly took the victim’s vehicle and drove it into Mohawk Pond, at Count Basie Park, at the end of South Pearl, and lit it on fire, McConnell said.
That victim suffered bruises and cuts but did not need medical treatment, police said.
Superior Court Judge Thomas Scully set bail. Bail for Hicks was $450,000 and $280,000 for Hall, Lane and Clayton.  Jackson posted $25,000 bail while the other four taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Facility, Freehold. Bail for Hicks was set , according to police.
