RED BANK — The borough zoning board of adjustment will continue to hear an application that seeks to renovated a gas station and convenience store for Shrewsbury Avenue.
The applicant, 390 Red Bank, LLC, is looking for board approval to be permitted to reconstruct the existing Shell gas station on the corner of Shrewsbury Avenue and Newman Springs Road and convert the convenience store into a 7-Eleven.
The application, which the board has been hearing for a number of months, is opposed by the owners of Exxon/Tiger Mart located across the street.
The project, if approved, will require a conditional use D-variance for a non-permitted existing use and variances for setbacks and illuminated ground signs.
