RFH Alumna Cindy Sherman To Speak On "Living Out Loud"

RUMSON – The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) is hosting Rumson High School graduate Cindy Sherman as part of a week of education and awareness events in April.
A 1973 graduate of Rumson High School. Sherman earned a B.A. in Elementary/Special Education at Boston College and a masters in guidance counseling at Montclair State University. She is also a licensed therapist.
Sherman is employed as a guidance/crisis counselor at Bloomfield High School and is also an adjunct professor of psychology at Bloomfield College.
On Friday, April 13, Sherman will speak at R-FH as part of a project titled “Coming Home,” which is coordinated by Live Out Loud, an organization whose mission is to inspire and empower LGBT (Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender)BGT youth by connecting them with successful LGBT professionals in their community.
Through the program, LGBT professionals return to their high schools to speak with a new generation of students about the experiences that have shaped them.
Sherman will be speaking to the GSA and to all interested classes, clubs, or groups at 11 a.m. in the auditorium. A question and answer period will follow her talk.
