RFH Tower Players Present ‘Aida: School Edition’

RUMSON –The RFH Tower Players of Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School will present March 22-24 Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida: School Edition, a contemporary musical take on a grand classic tale, based on the Verdi opera.
The story centers on Aida, a Nubian princess who becomes enslaved by Radames, an Egyptian soldier. A forbidden love blossoms between them and their example of devotion eventually transcends the differences in their status and their warring nations and leads to a time of peace and prosperity.

Audiences of all ages will be delighted by the memorable score, exciting production numbers and on-stage African tribal percussion.
The production features a cast of many talented students including Clare Fitzgerald as Aida, who is joined by Harrison Best as Radames, Julia Mosby as Amneris and Jack Newsome as Mereb.
The Tower Players promise to provide an exciting night of musical theater that should not be missed. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 22-23 and 1 p.m. Sunday, March 24.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens. The box office is located in the auditorium lobby and will be open 1½ hours prior to each performance. Additional box office hours are: 2:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 14; 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 18; and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 21.
