Grace Ricany, 92, of Keansburg, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, Feb. 25. She was born Grace DeAngelis on November 14, 1923 in Newark, where she grew up and raised her family. In 1964, she and her husband, George, and their children relocated to Maplewood. For a shor t period of time, Grace moved to Belford and ultimately settled in Keansburg, where she was currently residing.
She was predeceased by her parents, Domenic and Concetta (LaManna) DeAngelis; her beloved husband, George Ricany; and her son, John Ricany.
Grace is survived by her loving children, George Ricany and his wife Eileen of Belford, Robert Ricany and his wife Genevieve of Brick, Linda Monahan and her husband Gene of Keansburg, Kathryn Peck and her husband Richard of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and Annmarie Caputo and her husband Matthew of Forked River. Grace is also survived by her dear daughter-in-law, Patricia Ricany; her cherished grandchildren, Susan Smith, Carly Devaney, Kristen Dacillo, Michael Wangen, Adam Ricany, Kaitlyn Ricany, Kyle Peck, Lindsey Peck, Thomas Ricany, Nicole Caputo and Joseph Caputo; and her adored great-grandchildren, Reece, Sloan, Kyan, Addison and Max. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
