RED BANK — Red Bank RiverCenter held its first Girls Night Out on June 7 and expects the event to become a biannual gathering.
The free night on the town was filled with shopping discounts, dining, drink specials and prizes.
“Everyone from business owners to the women attending seemed to really have enjoyed themselves in Red Bank during the event,” said Nancy Adams, RiverCenter’s executive director. “We are planning on an even bigger turnout during our next Girls Night Out event in October.”
Women checked in at theGLAMbar at 116 Broad St. or Monmouth Street Emporium at 27 Monmouth St. to start the evening. There they received free reusable shopping bags filled with treats, coupons, and items provided by the Red Bank businesses.
During the after party at Taste, 10 Bridge Ave. in The Galleria, the women got the opportunity to win prizes donated by the businesses and RiverCenter including overnight stays at the Molly Pitcher Inn and Oyster Point Hotel, concert tickets donated by the Count Basie Theatre, jewelry, gift cards to local businesses, discounted offers, wine, food and more.
Continuing the night at Taste, women received a free Girls Night Out drink while Chambord Liqueur also gave out samples. To remember their Girls Night Out in Red Bank, LoBoudoir Photography was on hand to photograph them, which made for a keepsake to remember the event.
“We’ve received several emails from business owners and women who attended saying what a great and fun evening they had,” Adams said. “They can’t wait until the one in October and will be inviting more of their friends.”
Adams also said there would be minor changes to the event, something that RiverCenter does for all events based on experience of the first and subsequent ones.
Women should mark their calendars at Thursday, Oct. 11, for the second Girls Night Out. This event is expected to be even bigger and better then the initial offering.
