Marine Park site of May 30 – June 1 Fest
RED BANK – The Garden State’s largest free outdoor food and music festival opens the summer season Friday through Sunday, May 30 through June 1, as RiverFest 2014 returns to Marine Park.
Ford will be returning as the presenting sponsor with a new and interactive display, alongside a host of supporting and on-site sponsors. With its participation, organizers are expecting thousands to attend the festival, which offers something for every member of the community.
RiverFest is a feast for the ears, the eyes – and the stomach. Event-goers will be spoiled with local area restaurants and caterers serving more than 100 dishes, from old favorites to new gourmet creations. Visitors can cruise the restaurant booths, then meander through the festival’s many interactive exhibits and amusements or settle on the hillside for a musical alfresco feast.
Over the three days, RiverFest will be graced with local and regional favorite musicians, taking center stage at the heart of the festival. This year, a fresh and exciting lineup will be featured on the main stage, hosted by DJ Mickey. RiverFest favorites will include Motor City Revue, Brian Kirk and the Jirks and JoBonanno & The Godsons of Soul, Barry Ryan’s Rockabilly X, Oxygen Box Band and fun entertainment from Red Bank School of Rock and Miss Sherri and the Little Animal Band.

Rated by Life Magazine as a top 100 event in the United States, RiverFest was begun in 1980 by restaurant owners Danny Murphy and Rick Bott as a festival celebrating local restaurants. As an instant hit, due to the combination of great food, music and location, the event has grown stronger and better every year. RiverFest 2014 is organized by the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with This Is It! Productions.
