RED BANK – Riverview Medical Center Foundation’s Fourth Annual Family Fireworks on the Navesink took place on Saturday, June 25 at the DiPiero Family home in Locust. The fundraising event welcomed nearly 300 guests while raising significant funds to support Riverview Medical Center.
“Riverview Medical Center plans to launch innovative programs which will continue to build on the excellent health care we provide to our community,” said Timothy Hogan, FACHE, regional hospital president for Monmouth County, Meridian Health. “The new multidisciplinary cancer center is anticipated to open in September and Meridian Integrative Health & Medicine is also anticipated to launch this year. Funds raised at the Family Fireworks on the Navesink support programs and services like these to help further our mission and continue to strengthen our communities’ well-being.”
The Family Fireworks event featured a premier barbecue buffet, a variety of food trucks, inflatable rides, games, and an expansive view of the fireworks show that evening. “Year after year this event proves to be a wonderful display of community support for Riverview,” said Nancy Mulheren, chair of the Riverview Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees. “The casual atmosphere gives all guests the opportunity to relax and learn more about our local hospital while enjoying one of our favorite traditions – fireworks on the Navesink River.”
Co-chairs, Domenic and Hilary DiPiero led a 25-member event committee. “Those who are involved in planning this event are true leaders in the community,” said Hilary DiPiero, who also serves as a trustee on the Riverview Medical Center Foundation Board. “Their enthusiasm and tireless dedication in support of the hospital continues to make the fireworks a great success each year.”
