Butterfly Ball

The Ashley Lauren Foundation will host its inaugural Butterfly Ball on Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch.
The event will honor Jim Spinella, founder and CEO of HDlogix Inc., and his wife, Linda of Colts Neck.
The event committee, chaired by Victoria Ali, includes Linda Allegra, Jen Barbieri, Michele Battista, Sarah Bandy, Rachael Brookes, Carolyn Burtnick, Linda Bushover, Cheri Golub, Kristen Hansen, Lynn Laresca, Mary Ann Larkin, Kristi Mendez, Michele Olton, Diana Rieman, Mary Spano, Cynthia Soto, Carol Stillwell and Deborah Stillwell.
Funds raised by the Butterfly Ball will support the programs of The Ashley Lauren Foundation including direct family assistance, (household bills, bills and medications not paid through medical insurance, traveling expenses to and from hospitals, funeral expenses, etc.); material assistance (food, clothing, household items); emotional support; support groups; parties for the Children; advocacy; outings; birthday and holiday gifts for the children; “Making Dreams Come True” program and anything else that is needed to help families as they cope with the daily battle of pediatric cancer.”

Fundraiser For Avon Walk For Breast Cancer

Lighthouse Counseling and Wellness Center is sponsoring a fundraiser for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on Jan. 21 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Fair Haven from 7-11 p.m..
The event will raise funds to support four local women, three from Fair Haven and one from Middletown, who will participate in the walk, and their goal is to raise $7,200 for breast cancer research. There will be live local music, a Super 50/50, games, light snacks and a cash bar.

Zumbathon

Be a part of the largest Zumba Fitness event at the Jersey Shore on Saturday, Jan. 21 at Convention Hall on the Asbury Park boardwalk. Nationally recognized Zumba instructor Kass Martin will lead the event expected to attract enthusiasts from the tri-state area.
The Atlantic Club’s “Clubs for the Quest” Program hopes to raise $100,000 to find a cure for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Clubs for The Quest is a global health club initiative designed to build awareness and raise money to find a cure for ALS.  Health clubs, wellness centers, dance studios and the community are invited to join.
Funds raised will benefit ALS research and Joan Dancy & PALS, a Red Bank-based organization that supports people coping with ALS and their families.
