Jean E. Schaller, 67, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving friends and family on Tuesday, August 2 in Aberdeen. She was born Jean E. Hunter on September 11, 1948 in Newark. She grew up in Union Beach and lived there for most of her life until retiring to Florida nine years ago. In 1985, Jean was a r unner-up for Miss New Jersey. She was also very proud to have accomplished getting her concealed weapons license and her motorcycle license, as they were part of her life-long bucket list. One of her favorite hobbies was riding her motorcycle. Before her retirement, she worked as an estate keeper at a home in Rumson.

She was predeceased by her parents, Richard Charles and Virginia Louise (Schaefer) Hunter; and her husband, Geoffrey V. Schaller Sr. Jean is survived by her loving fiancé, William Lewis of Ocala, Florida; her beloved children, Geoffrey V. Schaller Jr. of Union Beach, Simone Dannecker and her husband, Ken, of Union Beach; her stepchildren, Jason Lewis and his wife, Kimberly, of North Carolina, Jesse Lewis and his wife, Holly, of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and Brian Howard of Pennsylvania; her dear siblings, Richard, Simon “Butch,” Cynthia and Pauline; her cherished grandchildren, Ken Jr., Nicole, Alex and David; and her adored stepgrandchildren, Mason, Abby and Hailey. Jean is also survived by her dear friends, who opened their home to Jean in her time of need, Laura and Gary of Aberdeen, along with many extended family members and friends.
