Shaw, Kenneth R., Age: 63, Eatontown

526

Kenneth R. Shaw, 63, of Eatontown, passed away peacefully at Jersey Shore Medical Center on March 20, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born at Fort Monmouth on July 10, 1952, he resided mostly in the Eatontown/Red Bank area. He was a 1971 graduate of Monmouth Regional High School. An excellent craftsman, Ken worked in construction most of his life, most recently at Alfred Vail Homes in Shrewsbury Township.

Ken had a wicked sense of humor. He was a jokester, a prankster, and a social butterfly. He had a big heart, was fun loving, and was always willing to lend a hand. Ken was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys. His family was very important to him, especially the children.

Kenneth is survived by his adoring parents, Grace Arlene (MacCloud) and Billy Ray Shaw of Eatontown; his loving children, Molly Shaw and her husband Aaron Cohn of Eatontown, Tyler Shaw, and Emma Shaw, both of Red Bank; his cherished grandchildren, Anabelle Shaw and Austin Freund; his dear sisters, Virginia Foran and her husband Edward of Howell and Vicky Smith and her husband John of Wall; along with two nieces, a nephew, and many great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 12 noon at the Old First United Methodist Church, 197 Locust Avenue, W. Long Branch. Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Hazlet, is in charge of arrangements. For information, directions or to send condolences to the family, please visit www.shorepointfh.com.
