Shore’s Middough Named Field Hockey All-American

WEST LONG BRANCH – Fresh off an impressive senior season, Shore Regional High School’s Carol Middough was named a first-team All-American by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
Middough, who will be attending Yale University in the fall, ripped in 78 goals – the third most in the history of field hockey nationwide – along with 17 assists. In her time at Shore, Middough helped the Blue Devils to four division titles, four Shore Conference titles, two sectional titles and two group state championships.
In her career, Middough compiled 131 goals and 66 assists en route to leading Shore to a 24-1-1 as a senior captain.
She is the 17th Shore Regional player to be named an All-American.
