FREEHOLD – The Shrewsbury Chorale and the Garden State Orchestra and Chorus, under the baton of Anthony La Gruth, will present “Lest We Forget,” a concert to commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day, at 7:30 p.m. March 22, at First Presbyterian Church of Freehold.
The program will feature “German Requiem” by Johannes Brahms, “A Survivor from Warsaw” by Arnold Schoenberg, and “Lincoln Portrait” by Aaron Copland.
In a gesture of support and remembrance, the Shrewsbury Chorale will donate 10 percent of the concert proceeds to the Center for Holocaust Studies at Brookdale Community College.
