Trying to combine the enthusiasm of a Leo with the perfection of a Virgo is the challenge faced by anyone born this week.
Folks born on the cusp of Leo, Virgos are constantly torn by the need to shine and the need to be alone. Leo loves being in the public eye, the center of attention while the Virgo, like Greta Garbo, wants to be alone.
This makes for a radical conservative or someone who marches to the beat of a different drum.
While Leo is a fire sign, Virgo is an earth sign. Attempting to pull fire and earth together might sound easy, but in truth it is difficult. Fire dominates, while earth is still and steady. Just think of the demands on anyone born now and how they are always looking for some kind of control.

The best day to get things done this week will be Wednesday, Aug. 20, when the moon is in Cancer and will trine Neptune. Your intuition will reach an all-month high and you will be fully aware of what needs doing. So schedule a meeting or set a date anytime that day. Plus the sun is now in Virgo, bringing with it the necessary perfection to get things done. There is a new moon next Monday, Aug. 25, which also is a good day to accomplish some work.
Aries (March 21 to April 20) You may feel the need to pull off some rebellious behavior against someone you really love. So before making any hasty moves, stop and think because the consequences of fast action by you will be tremendous upset in your social circle. Then you will be the one to regret any hasty action.
Taurus (April 21 to May 20) Some events in your life this week may not be to your liking. Blame Saturn in Scorpio, if you must, but don’t look back. Do yourself a favor and keep moving forward. Holding on to yesterday’s pain will do you no good today. A new romance is about to unfold. Be ready to embrace it.
Gemini (May 21 to June 20) Life will start going smoothly if you just let it happen. Stop tossing a monkey wrench into your love life. You think too much about results instead of latching onto the moment. Plus, try serious listening instead of talking. Your goals will take on new color if you can just let go.
Cancer (June 21 to July 20) Relationships this week will include new faces and ideas. That means you might have to give up some of your past daydreams and deal with reality. This will be good and you will enjoy the new you. A job opportunity also will look good to you. Expect an adventure and it will happen.
Leo (July 21 to Aug. 20) The zany opportunities offered by Uranus in Aries are in front of you. The wonder of it could be how to make the most of the fabulous changes that will come your way. There are also the expansive ideals offered by Jupiter. Using this combination, you could go places you have never dreamed of going.
Virgo (Aug. 21 to Sept. 20) Newcomers in your life could turn you upside down and backward if you aren’t careful. This could be a good way to go if you have been bored with life as it is, but, otherwise, take it easy. Neptune can make simple little chores complicated. The answer is take it slow before saying yes.
Libra (Sept. 21 to Oct. 20) Living life with Uranus opposite your sun can make change very tempting. But think thrice before taking any big steps in a new flamboyant direction. It just might not work to your benefit and then what will you do? The answer might be go slowly while making change. It is called playing it safe.
Scorpio (Oct. 21 to Nov. 20) If you are single, it is time to let your defenses down and allow new people into your circle. Otherwise keep trying to make improvements at home and work. Don’t allow minor mishaps to dampen your life. Saturn is slowly moving out of Scorpio and the stress will ease up, as the fun begins.
Sagittarius (Nov. 21 to Dec. 20) With both Uranus and Jupiter making glowing aspects to your sun, you could be in seventh heaven. But remember Neptune is still around. So often when we are a cloud nine too long, we fall off. Just keep one foot on the ground. A new project also will lighten up your life.
Capricorn (Dec. 21 to Feb. 20) Maintain a sharp outlook on the business going on around you. It will give you the power you need to stay on top of the heap both in business and at home. Some of the situations you have found yourself in recently are merely training grounds for future leadership roles and new success.
Aquarius (Jan. 21 to Feb. 20) By allowing your true feelings to be known by all, you could create a split in a friendship. Try remaining silent and work the puzzle out yourself. You can do it and the result will be a much happier you. Also, be aware that sometimes our expectations are far beyond what others can give. So cool off and let the heavens do the work.
Pisces (Feb. 21 to March 20) When making decisions this week make sure they are based on what is relevant and appropriate. Otherwise, you will be lost in a Neptune world of possible nonsense. Look for a best friend with only best interest in mind. It is a good week for you if you follow sound thinking.
