When thinking of living or working with a Virgo think of Emily Post, the guru of good manners, then you can understand the perfection a Virgo seeks.

Virgo is a master of detail, organization and tries to live an extremely neat life.

If you don’t like things organized and in their place, it is best to stay away from Virgo.

In their never-ending need for perfection, the Virgo can sometimes seem critical to the easygoing characters who sometimes find themselves involved with a Virgo.

One of the main ideals of a Virgo is the need to be needed.

They enjoy working behind the scenes, getting things organized and in place.

In their constant need to serve, this Mercury-ruled sign is happiest when working. They often find their greatest satisfaction in service-oriented positions.

Virgo is a mental sign and seldom seems happy without work that includes responsibility, discipline and structure.

People born this week: Warren Buffett, Aug. 30, 1930; Richard Gere, Aug. 31, 1949; Gloria Estefan, Sept. 1,1957; Selma Hayek, Sept. 2, 1966; Valerie Perrine, Sept. 3, 1943; Dr. Drew Pinsky, Sept. 4, 1958; and Bob Newhart, Sept. 5, 1929.

If you are considering a new project, it is time to start. We are in a new moon phase until Monday, when the moon in Pisces will be full. The best day to start a project could be Thursday, Sept. 4, which by the way is Beyonce’s birthday. Mercury will be retrograde in early October. So make a plan, if possible, and think big.

Aries (March 21 to April 20) With Jupiter in Leo making a nice aspect to your sun, take advantage of it. This means get out from under any old situations and start anew. It is time to let go of past behavior. Once you take that step, you will hear good news about a longtime relationship.

Taurus (April 21 to May 20) Anything you consider inconvenient is what you should be trying to accomplish. In other words, use your determination to understand an unfinished relationship. Once that is done, you will be able to start over with someone else. You will also be satisfied with yourself.

Gemini (May 21 to June 20) Try taking ownership of your own skills and work with them to get where you want to be. Stop trying to please others because the cost to you is too high. A friend will listen and make some suggestions. It is up to you to discover what is good for you.

Cancer (June 21 to July 20) A close encounter with a dear friend will offer you the answers you have been seeking. So set up a meeting and be there. The changes you are seeking are just a minute away – once you decide on the direction you want to go in now. It is time to count your blessings – and then move on.

Leo (July 21 to Aug. 20) With Jupiter in Leo it is time to quit complaining and make some moves to better yourself. A new relationship is just what you need, so let yourself get out there and meet someone. It is time to move yourself out of your self-made rut and push on. The energy is there, so use it.

Virgo  (Aug. 21 to Sept. 20) Try a heart-to-heart talk with a business associate and see how much better you will feel. When the newcomers in your life fall away, you can be sure your soul mate will remain. So look forward to a mellow fall moon on Monday and you could get your wish.

Libra (Sept. 21 to Oct. 20) Some of the recent drama should be falling away as you reorganize yourself and change direction. Let your partner know that you are changing gears and don’t want to do the changing alone. Once you clear your attitude, your entire life will be different and refreshing.

Scorpio (Oct. 21 to Nov. 20) With Saturn, the planet of responsibility and discipline, still in Scorpio, you would be smart to enjoy that part of life. Soon it will be your time to get involved in fun and games. But right now any good deeds you can do will benefit you. And guess what? You will be paid back tenfold.

Sagittarius (Nov. 21 to Dec. 20) The wonders of Jupiter and Uranus, both in fire signs, trine your sun, giving you a chance to really shine. It is time to stop hiding your creative self behind a bushel basket. Once you are out in the sunshine, you will understand what you have been missing.

Capricorn (Dec. 21 to Jan. 20) Try to avoid your emotional mistakes and continue on your new journey into success. This is a good week to look the other way when in a negative environment. It is costing you both time and money to be negative. A new friend will help.

Aquarius  (Jan. 21 to Feb. 20) It is time to take an inventory of your latest goals and make sure they are in proper order. Plus, make sure they are what you want. You may make revisions as you move along. A new friend could become a vital influence in your career by giving you new inspiration.

Pisces (Feb. 21 to March 20) With the magic of Neptune you can be as creative, spiritual and kind as you were born to be. Promise yourself you will stay away from negative folks. If you can accomplish that, you will see a total change in your outlook on life. Plus, you could meet a new BFF who could also be a soul mate.
