There is no mystery surrounding Capricorn. This Saturn-ruled earth sign is responsible, practical and interested in power and what it brings with it. There is no mystery in that and no one who celebrates their birthday this week argues that point.
Practical, hard-working, energy-packed Capricorn knows from birth that they were born to be leaders.
Many a Capricorn starts the journey to be best very early in life. Golfer Tiger Woods is an example. At an early age he was guided by his father to become a top golfer.
Martin Luther King took on leadership roles he was destined to do. He had leadership qualities developed when young and then taken worldwide.
Capricorn usually has the self-discipline to do what needs to be done to get to the top of his career.
This often means ignoring the side attractions and staying steady in the light until the goal is reached.
But whether the Capricorn starts early or is a late bloomer, they always feel they should be in control. So this Saturn-ruled sign often seeks a profession that offers a top job within reach.
People born this week: Rod Stewart, Jan. 10, 1945; Naomi Judd, Jan. 11, 1946; Kirstie Alley, Jan. 12, 1951; Orlando Bloom, Jan. 13, 1977; Steven Soderberg, Jan. 14, 1963; Martin Luther King, Jan. 15, 1929; Kate Moss, Jan. 16, 1974.
Just a quick reminder that Mercury goes retrograde on Jan. 21. Get started now on projects that need doing since it is a poor time to start anything during a retrograde period which in Jan. 2015 is in less than a week and will last until Feb. 11 at night. The new moon will appear on Jan. 20, the day before Mercury goes retro. So start your project before 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 14.
Aries (March 21 to April 20) If you play your cards right you are set for a great year. Saturn remains in Sagittarius trine Aries, Uranus is in Aries. That sure smells change for the good. So get yourself ready to make some smart moves, but only if you are prepared beforehand. Otherwise use the good vibes to do some sharp planning and then move on them.
Taurus (April 21 to May 20) Life should be looking more rewarding and money should start flowing around you. No time and no money, then it is up to you to do a quick check of what is going wrong in your life. Because there should be relief from past grief and the sun should be shining. Otherwise you are missing a golden opportunity.
Gemini (May 21 to June 20) As you move forward with your new agenda it takes boldness to open new doors and make new friends. So keep moving and find yourself a new base of operation. That step will bring you the joy you are seeking now. New faces will mean a new social life, which is just what you want to do. So don’t give up now, you have almost reached your goals.
Cancer (June 21 to July 20) With the new attitude you are developing you will find yourself in the middle of a happy time both at work and home. Remember you deserve a bigger portion of the pie and right now it is up to you to get it. As you move forward just remember when one door closes another one opens. You are on the right path today.
Leo (July 21 to Aug. 20) The new opportunities you have been looking for are headed your way via Jupiter in Leo. So don’t allow any negative thoughts to slow down your journey. Look for an old pal who will offer some help to you. Be smart and seriously consider the aid. Once you feel comfortable about the offer, consider taking it. You are on your way.
Virgo (Aug. 21 to Sept. 20) There was change in the past year, but you are in for more as 2015 begins. This is the year of your big success if you just stay on the path you have selected. Avoid the negative forces that pop up in your life. Know that is what holds back your personal success. A relationship is looming in the background.
Libra (Sept. 21 to Oct. 20) A review of your relationships at this time in you life would be a rewarding experience for you now. Outline what it is you need in your life as you make a few changes and you will be pleased. As you go in a new direction, it really matter who goes with you. So do some planning and you will be joyful with the results.
Scorpio (Oct. 21 to Nov.20) The work and planning of the past year will start to pay off as 2015 begins. Your life is now in a turnaround mode and there is no stopping it. This is good news and will bring you a reunion with your past love of life and some pals you haven’t seen in some time. So allow time for meeting and greeting and let yourself go a little.
Sagittarius (Nov. 21 to Dec.20) You should start to notice how there has been a change, a need for more discipline and responsibility. This is good and will continue as Saturn remains in Sagittarius. It is time to re organize your life so you can fit more creative ideas into it. New people will appear and they should inspire you instead of causing you grief.
Capricorn Dec. 21 to Jan.20) If possible, keep your agenda flexible since there are so many people involved. If you are the one who can make a change of two then you have the power. Born leaders sometimes miss their calling because they become wrapped up in nonsense. Don’t let that happen to you. Stay alert to every opportunity to advance.
Aquarius (Jan. 21 to Feb. 20) As you continue to find your way, you need to keep in mind what you are seeking. You need the freedom of running your own show and yet be involved with people and being of service. It is time to find a place, but wait until Mercury goes direct in mid-February. Then find your volunteer role and a relationship.
Pisces (Feb. 21 to March 20) Dealing with both Saturn and Neptune can be a challenge to anyone, but you can do it. The required discipline you need now will be seen in your creative works. So the more creative you can be, the better. Just stay focused on your talents and the relationships that you need will follow. If you feel confusion it shows you are off course. Just follow your bliss.
