TOMS RIVER – Saturday’s Non-Public A championship game between St. John Vianney and Immaculate Heart Academy has been postponed from 2:30 p.m. Saturday until to 5 p.m. Sunday at Toms River North High School.
Due to inclement weather that has resulted in a flash flood warning for the area, all baseball and softball state championship games have been moved to Sunday.
The Lady Lancers are coming off Thursday’s loss to Toms River East in the Shore Conference Tournament semifinal. St. John Vianney ousted Pope Paul VI, 1-0, in the Non-Public, South ‘A’ final on Tuesday afternoon to reach the overall group A championship.
The Lancers won their fourth consecutive Monmouth County Tournament in early May before losing in the Shore Conference Tournament championship game this week.
