It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur Raymond Stover announces his passing on May 23. He was 88.

For more than 25 years he served the citizens of Middletown as a volunteer fireman, as well as police officer, detective, director of the Juvenile Division, and as vice president of Local 124 of the New Jersey State P.B.A.

Arthur’s passion in life was his family and playing golf with his sons. He is survived by Hilda, his beloved wife of 37 years; his children, Neil Stover, Gary Stover, Arthur Stover, Lorraine McCabe, Raymond Stover and Deborah Lindner and their spouses. He will also be missed by Hilda’s children, Stephen Collison, Terri Buonano, Joe and his wife Eileen Collison, and Patti and her husband Frank McNamee; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held May 28 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Funeral services were May 29 at the funeral home. Burial followed at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. For more information or to send condolences, please visit pflegerfh.com.
