Jean G. Strohmenger, 87, of Rumson, passed away on Friday, July 22. She was born in Elizabeth to the late Emil F. Geile and Edna (Pries). She has lived in Rumson since 1952. Jean graduated from the Pratt Institute, New York, and the Red Bank Business Institute. Jean worked for many years as a legal secretary for Parsons and Labreque in Red Bank.

She was a member of Rumson Presbyterian Church, a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary Oceanic Fire Department and also a member of Rumson Senior Citizens.

Jean was predeceased by her husband William in 2008 and her brother Billy Geile. She is survived by four sons, William and his wife Patricia of Lewes, Delaware, Robert and his wife Lorraine of West Long Branch, Thomas and his wife Lynn of Yorba Linda, California, and John and his wife Catherine of Howell; six loving grandchildren, Robert, Katherine, Heather, William, J.D. and Joseph; four beautiful great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Phillips of Colts Neck.
