RED BANK – Summer Jazzfest returns to the borough July 6 and will include four weekends of performances at the Two River Theater on Bridge Avenue.
Now in its seventh season, this year’s line-up includes: A Weekend in Brazil with the Mauricio Zottarelli Trio with Claudio Roditi on Friday, July 6, and Fabiana Masili on Saturday, July 7; jazz vocals with the Cynthia Holiday Group on July 13-14; The Two and Only with guitar legend Bucky Pizzarelli and violin wunderkind Aaron Weinstein on July 27-28; and Jazz Legends and Lion with saxophonist Bruce Williams who will lead an all-star group and present a Jazz Arts Academy Student Showcase on Aug. 3-4.
Audience members, seated at cozy candle-lit cocktail tables with coffee, tea and other treats available from the jazz café, will enjoy a roster of jazz talent.
“This is a series you don’t want to miss,’’ said Joe Muccioli, artistic director for the Jazz Arts Project and internationally known conductor, arranger and orchestrator.
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring in this level of world-class jazz talent to Red Bank each summer to entertain our appreciative audiences. If you love jazz, make a point of attending one or more of these great concerts.”
Performances are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets are $22 each, students are $10 each, and series packages are $75 for all four events.
Tickets are only available at the Two River box office by calling 732-345-1400.
Part of the proceeds from the concerts will benefit the Jazz Arts Project’s education initiative providing needed funds for its Jazz Arts Academy programs as well as Legends and Lions and Jazz Arts Jam Asbury Park youth summer jazz workshops and other youth-oriented workshops, master classes and free
