On Friday, November 18, the Education Foundation of Little Silver will host the first “Silver Chef Throw-Down,” a competition featuring Joe Racioppi, executive chef at McLoone’s Pier House, Long Branch, owned by Little Silver residents Tim and Beth McLoone.
Chef Racioppi will face off against Little Silver teachers Tim Russoniello and John McGrade. The competition begins at 7 p.m. at McLoone’s Rum Runner, Sea Bright. The event will also feature live music by The Havens and a live and silent auction.
“We are expecting a high turnout at this fun and entertaining cook-off event with parents, teachers and community members,” said Lori Stratford, foundation president.
Funds raised will be used to purchase technology for use in Markham Place and Point Road schools.
