Saturday, March 8

The Harp in Irish Music, harpist Marjorie Mollenhauer, a member of the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra, will discuss the history of the harp in the music of Ireland and perform traditional Irish classics. 2 p.m. Ocean Township Library, 701 Deal Road. Call 732-531-5092.

Festive Flutes will entertain with Broadway tunes at the Monmouth County Library, 1001 Route 35, Shrewsbury. 2 p.m. Call 866-941-8188.

Collective Art Tank, 529 Bangs Ave., Asbury Park. Two events: From 9 to 11 a.m. for kids, Contemporary Artist Series: 2.2 taught by artists John Viggiano and Marta Kepka. $25.

Also from 1 to 4 p.m. professional artist Eric Valosin will host an Artist Statement Workshop. $20.

Monmouth Players presents Jane Martin’s “Sez She” at 8:15 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Navesink Arts Center, 149 Monmouth Ave., Atlantic Highlands. Call 732-291-9211 for reservations. All tickets are $15. Refreshments will be served before the show and during intermission.

Sunday, March 9

Second Annual Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins at 1 p.m. at Victory Park, continues onto West River Road and ends at Piping Rock Memorial Park.

Asbury Park’s first St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins at 1 p.m. at the boardwalk on Ocean Avenue at 4th Avenue and continues downtown. Parade ends on Main Street in Municipal Plaza. No rain date.

Monmouth Civic Chorus sings American Songbook, Count Basie Theatre, 99 Monmouth St., Red Bank. 4 p.m. Tickets $25-$30. Call 732-842-9000.
