The Orchestra of St. Peter By the Sea to Open 2013-14 Series

MANASQUAN – The Rev. Alphonse Stephenson and The Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea salute at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sir Tim Rice and other composers seated at musical theater’s round table in their show “Broadway Knights.”
The concert will feature selections from Broadway hits including “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Evita,” “New York, New York,” “Follies,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Sunset Boulevard” and more.
An all-star lineup of soloists will feature with the orchestra with many crowd favorites returning to the stage, including Brielle’s Chris Pinnella, the Algonquin Arts Theatre’s William Whitefield and Julie Nagy, Ali Gleason, Eric Harper, Maria Zito-Kaufman and Carter Calvert.
The concert kicks off the 2013-14 edition of the Algonquin Arts Theatre’s popular orchestra series, sponsored by Novy & Associates. The series continues on Jan. 5, with “Viennese New Year” and on April 26, with “Once Upon an Opera.”
The theater is located at 173 Main St. in Manasquan.

All tickets are subject to $2 processing fee. Tickets are also on sale now for the final two concerts of the series.
