Alice J Torres, 84, of Port Monmouth, died on May 25, at her home in Port Monmouth. She was born in Washington Heights, New York and lived in Port Monmouth most of her life. Alice worked as a crossing guard for Middletown Police Dept. for 30 years retiring in 2002. Alice was a past president of the Democratic club of Middletown.
Surviving are her two sons, Rev. Luis Torres of Port Monmouth, Frank Lozada of Middletown; eight grandchildren, Frank Lozada Jr., Joseph Lozada and Nicholas Lozada; Carlos Lozada; Jessica Lozada; Christopher Lozada; Evette Lozada; and Joshua Lozada; one great-granddaughter, Ann Marie Lozada. Alice was preceded in death by Luis Torres Sr. (1996) and a son Charles Lozada (1991).
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 3 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for 8:45 a.m. Saturday June 4, 2016 at 8:45am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 9:30 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Church, 110 Bray Ave. Middletown.
